Cooling Tower Fan Retrofit
Cooling Tower Fan Retrofit
This project addressed the issues of corrosion and low energy efficiency of asynchronous motors used in cooling tower fans under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions. By replacing the original motors with direct-drive permanent magnet synchronous motors and introducing temperature-controlled speed adjustment, the system achieved significant energy optimization. After the retrofit, energy savings reached 60.9%, with an annual electricity cost reduction of approximately ¥24,000, greatly improving operational efficiency and reliability.
Issue
High-temperature, high-humidity corrosionand outdated motors failing energy efficiency standards.
Solution
- Replacedasynchronousmotors withdirect-drive PM motors + temperaturecon-trolled speed adjustment.
