Product Description

The BMXG Series (Vertical) Magnetic Drive Vortex Pump is a non-clogging pump developed by our company based on advanced foreign technology and market demand. With a magnetic coupling drive design, it completely eliminates leakage problems associated with dynamic mechanical seals. It features a fully vortex-type, open impeller with large-flow design, where the clearance between the impeller and the pump casing matches the discharge diameter. It is designed as a single-stage, single-suction horizontal installation with horizontal suction and tangential discharge. The pump offers high efficiency, low vibration, stable operation, and strong anti-clogging capability, with excellent cavitation resistance. The impeller inlet provides a stirring effect for foreign matter, making it ideal for conveying media containing particles and fibers.

Applicable in petrochemical, plastics, rubber, pulp & paper, metallurgy, and wastewater treatment industries for conveying media containing large particles, fibers, sludge, or high gas content.

 

Design Features

 

The structural design of the pump body and impeller embodies a novel, unique, and practical concept. As the impeller rotates inside the pump body, it drives the medium to form a vortex in the flow channel. Large, highly abrasive solid particles flow along the longitudinal vortex towards the center of the pump channel, while smaller, less abrasive particles contact the chamber and impeller surface. This reduces direct erosion and wear on the impeller and casing, significantly extending service life.

The impeller is open type. No strict clearance requirement exists between the impeller and the front cover (wear plate), with tolerances up to 30–100 mm. The medium entering the pump forms a vortex in the flow channel, and most solid particles are expelled directly through the outlet without passing through the impeller. As a result, the impeller is less prone to clogging and wear. Even if minor wear occurs, pump performance parameters remain largely stable, extending impeller life. For crystallizing media, the impeller structure helps delay scaling buildup on the impeller.

 

Working Principle

 

When the impeller rotates, centrifugal force increases the energy of the medium. The medium between the blades moves with the impeller, forming a straight-through flow at the outlet due to strong centrifugal force, while a circulating flow develops in the middle of the impeller. Flow then exits through the pump chamber outlet, generating head. Solid particles and fibers in the medium gain energy from circulation, bypassing the impeller and being discharged directly, enabling the pump to handle complex or impurity-laden fluids.
